Rishi Kapoor was in the news right after the sad demise of actor Vinod Khanna last week. The veteran actor wrote a series of tweets calling out Hindi cinema stars of today’s generation for not attending the funeral of Khanna considering he was one of the biggest stars of the industry.

Kapoor now seems to have calmed down as a number of big stars turned up for Khanna’s prayer meeting. The actor expressed his satisfaction on Twitter saying, “Thank you my film brethren for your solidarity shown towards the Khanna family. Hum mein ab bhi insaniyat baaki hai. Love you all.”

His message came as a surprise to many because he had recently severely criticised stars who turn up only at prayer meets. In fact, Kapoor also taunted such stars for turning prayer meets into fashion events.

When it was pointed out that all those actors would attend the prayer meet, he told a publication, “Yeah, because that’s more of a fashion parade and you want to be in the comforts of air conditioned premises. Why were you not there for this (funeral) event?”

There were mixed reactions from the industry on Kapoor’s fiery tweets. But it now looks like all is well in the (film) family.
