The word Judwaa is synonymous with Salman Khan. It is largely presumed that Khan will have some part to play in the remake that has Varun Dhawan stepping into his shoes.
David Dhawan had directed Khan in the 1997 comedy and two decades later, Dhawan has cast his son Varun in the remake. Buzz has it that Khan will play a small part in Judwaa 2 with him expected to return in his dual avatars — Prem and Raja.
According to a report in tabloid Mid-day, Prem and Raja have aged now and the duo bump into the twin characters played by Varun Dhawan.
The tabloid quoted a source as saying, “Salman will appear as both, Raja and Prem, his twin characters from the film who have aged by 20 years. His judwaa will come face-to-face with Varun's double role, possibly in the climax scene."
The Judwaa team recently wrapped up their London schedule and is expected to resume their shooting in Mumbai in June. Khan, who will divide his time promoting his Eid release Tubelight and shooting Tiger Zinda Hai, is expected to dedicate a few hours for Judwaa 2.
Varun Dhawan romances Jacqueline Fernandez and Taapsee Pannu in Judwaa 2. The film is to be released on 29 September.
