Tumhari Sulu to have Vidya Balan groove to 'Hawa Hawaii' remake


The original song was crooned by Kavita Krishnamurthy, with Javed Akhtar penning the song and Laxmikant-Pyarelal scoring the music for Mr. India.

Keeping up with the current tradition of recreating classic or popular songs, the makers of Tumhari Sulu have chosen to recreate Sridevi's popular song 'Hawa Hawaii' from Mr. India (1987).

Apart from Vidya, Neha Dhupia, too, will also groove to the 'Hawa Hawaii' remake. The original song was crooned by Kavita Krishnamurthy, with Javed Akhtar penning the song and Laxmikant-Pyarelal scoring the music.

'Hawa Hawaii' was earlier recreated in Bejoy Nambiar’s Shaitan (2011) with Prashant Pillai and Suman Sridhar crooning the version.

Directed by Suresh Triveni, Tumhari Sulu will have Vidya in the role of Radio Jockey Sulochana, popularly called Sulu. Apart from Dhupia, popular radio jockey Malishka also plays a part in the film.
