Rajinikanth's Kaala Karikaalan went on the floors in Mumbai on Sunday. Twitter was agog with pictures of the superstar on the sets of Pa Ranjith's gangster drama. While Huma Qureshi was the only other actor confirmed for the film, recent reports have also confirmed actor Nana Patekar in a role.
The news found evidence in a recently released poster of the film which lists Nana Patekar alongside the Tamil superstar. The film, set in Mumbai, reportedly has Rajinikanth playing a gangster who stands up for the rights of Tamils living in slums. While there were rumours of the film being based on don Haji Mastan's life, the makers of the film have vehemently denied it.
