Will Sara Ali Khan debut opposite Sushant Singh Rajput for Abhishek Kapoor’s Kedarnath?

Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh’s daughter Sara Ali Khan’s debut in Hindi cinema has been eagerly awaited for a while now. The young debutante was rumoured to star in Karan Johar’s sequel to Student Of The Year (2012) which already has Tiger Shroff in the lead.

Now, filmmaker Abhishek Kapoor has confirmed to India Today magazine, that Khan will debut opposite his Kai Po Che actor Sushant Singh Rajput in a film called Kedarnath. However, no official announcement has been made as yet on the project.

After two successful films with Rock On!! (2008) and Kai po che (2013), Kapoor’s last project, Fitoor (2016), was a disappointing adaptation of Charles Dickens’s Great Expectations starring Aditya Roy Kapur, Katrina Kaif and Tabu.

Rajput has busy 2017 as he shoots for Dharma Productions’ Drive with Jacqueline Fernandez and Chanda Mama Door Ke in which he plays an astronaut. He will be seen next in Dinesh Vijan’s directorial debut, Raabta, with co-star Kriti Sanon.

If this report is indeed confirmed, then Sara Ali Khan is in good company for her first film. Interestingly, both Sara and Rajput attended the big bash for filmmaker Karan Johar’s 45th birthday last Thursday.
