Making of 'Radio' song: Kabir Khan reveals reason for Salman's massive celebration

Even as fans await the release of Tubelight's trailer on 25 May, tomorrow, the makers of the film have released something new.

The first song from Kabir Khan's Tubelight has already hit the airwaves, and grown popular among the fans. Now, the makers of the film have released a making video of the opening song of Salman Khan's upcoming blockbuster.

The making video reveals that the song does not arrive before the Indo-China war of 1962, the setting of the film, but at the end of it. Kabir Khan says, "The situation is that the whole village, the whole region comes together to celebrate the end of war. The news about the war comes on the radio, and it takes the cue from there."

The director went on to add that the song is a 'celebratory song', and a 'fun, foot tapping dance number'.

Choreographed by Remo D'Souza, the song has a massive team of over 1,000 people performing together. As D'Souza says, "There are 200 dancers, 400 juniors, plus the crew living together in a village. To control them all is difficult, but when they come together and dance it is something else."

While the video is a wonderful peek into the massive scale of production and choreography that shows in the song, it also shows some of the bloopers of the dancers, Salman Khan in particular.

However, D'Souza is a fan of the actor's dancing skills. Praising him, he says, "No matter how difficult the steps for the song are, he does not rehearse beforehand. He comes to the set, rehearses for 10 minutes and learns it on the spot."

Composed by Pritam, D'Souza also reveals that it is a '1960s song'. While it is the scale that is astounding, it is really Salman Khan's equation with the kids on set that steal the show. The actor looks at home teaching the little ones his signature dance step from the song, and they seem to be matching him.

At one point, the actor even takes on calling the shots, instead of director Kabir Khan.

Tubelight is directed by Kabir Khan, and produced by Salman Khan Films. The film is scheduled for release on the Eid weekend later this year.
