Rajkummar Rao and Shruti Haasan-starrer Behen Hogi Teri was supposed to be released on 2 June. But the film's release has been postponed by a week to 9 June. Directed by debutant Ajay K Pannalal, the film is a romantic comedy.
The news was tweeted by veteran trade analyst and film critic, Taran Adarsh. He wrote, “#BehenHogiTeri, starring Rajkummar Rao and Shruti Haasan, will now release on 9 June instead of 2 June 2017.”

By postponing the release, the film has avoided a clash with at least four Hindi films — Manisha Koirala’s Dear Maya, Huma Qureshi-Saqib Saleem-starrer Dobaara – See Your Evil, animation movie Hanuman Da Damdaar and Sweetie Weds NRI and two big Hollywood films — Priyanka Chopra’s Hollywood debut Baywatch and Wonder Woman.
However, the push in the release date has also ensured that Behen Hogi Teri will now clash with a formidable force like Dinesh Vijan's Raabta. The film, which stars Sushant Singh Rajput and Kriti Sanon is a reincarnation romantic tale that has created some buzz through its trailers. Rajkummar also has a role in Raabta.
