Bank Chor song: 'Tashreef' a silly track that can be sung by anyone and everyone

The latest song from Riteish Deshmukh-starrer Bank Chor is a funny parody, but fails at the music.

Riteish Deshmukh's turn as the goofy bank robber in Bank Chor is turning to be quite funny. While the film's promotional tricks at copying original posters has caught the attention on Twitter. The latest song from the film, Tashreef, fits in with this hilarious theme, but fails to match it up with the music.

The title of the song, 'Tashreef', is just another civilised way of referring to the 'buttocks' that get thrashed through the entire song. Sung and composed by Rochak Kohli, the song is a funny parody of everything that Deshmukh and his 'Bank Chor' colleagues go through in jail. From being denied food to being slapped repeatedly, swung by a tyre, even subject to water tortures, but the fun just doesn't stop for them.

Written by Adheesh Verma, the lyrics are a combination of catchy terms and street slang that will definitely find a way into the urban dictionary. But it is the music that lets it down. While Kohli's composition is simple enough, it does not have the musical quality that might make it popular. It lacks the rhythm that is often definitive of his works. However, the fun element of the track should keep it going.

Bank Chor is directed by Bumpy, and is set to be released on 16 June.
