Actress Amala Paul, who is working on at least eight films in Tamil and Malayalam, including Dhanush's Vellai Illa Pattathari 2, which, incidentally, is being directed by Soundarya Rajinikanth, has joined the Rs100 crore club.

The actress's film in Kannada, Hebbuli, starring Kichcha Sudeep, has emerged a superhit. In fact, it continues to draw crowds to the theatres even almost 75 days after it was released.

Sources close to the unit say that the film has already grossed over Rs100 crore. The film's success takes Amala's rating a notch higher as she now joins other actors and actresses who have worked in films that have grossed over Rs100 crore at the box office.

Her upcoming films, too, are bound to draw attention as she is part of some eagerly awaited and keenly watched projects. Apart from the sequel to the immensely successful VIP (2014), Amala is playing the lead in the Malayalam remake of the Kangana Ranaut-starrer Queen (2014). The film is being directed by actress Revathi. Then, she is also the female lead in the sequel to Susi Ganesan's Thiruttu Payale (2006). The film also stars Bobby Simha and Prasanna.

That apart, Amala has Minmini, which is being directed by Mundasupatti (2014) fame Ram. She will also be seen in Baskar Oru Rascal, which is being  directed by Siddique and stars Arvind Swamy.

The actress is also working on Achaayans, a Malayalam movie directed by Kannan, and an untitled Malayalam thriller directed by Anoop.
