Rahul Khanna shares childhood photo in honour of father Vinod Khanna

Rahul Khanna, elder son of late 1970s star Vinod Khanna, shared a childhood photograph of himself and his younger brother Akshaye enjoying a day at the beach with their father.
Vinod Khanna passed away last week at 70 after a prolonged battle with cancer of the urinary bladder. His family was by his side at Sir HN Reliance Foundation and Research Hospital in Girgaum where he breathed his last at 11.20 am on 27 April.

Since he tweeted it, the photo has gotten over 25,000 favourites and over 4,000 retweets. Many celebrities from producer Atul Kasbekar to filmmaker Mira Nair have replied with their condolences to Rahul. Kasbekar commented that the photo was a “lovely lovely image”, while Nair wrote, “He was a beautiful force on the world & the only movie star I had a crush on!”

Tara Sharma Saluja, who attended Vinod Khanna’s funeral in Worli, Mumbai on Thursday, replied, “I really believe loved ones are always always with us..He is always with you all Xxx.”

Vinod Khanna’s wife Kavita, his children Rahul and Akshaye (from his first marriage to Geetanjali) and Shraddha and Sakshi attended to the many film personalities from the industry who stopped by to pay their respects. Filmmakers Gulzar and Subhash Ghai and co-stars Amitabh Bachchan, Randhir Kapoor and Jackie Shroff were among those to conveyed their condolences to the Khanna family.
