Composer Devi Sri Prasad teams up with Vikram, set to score music for Saamy 2

Popular music director Devi Sri Prasad will score the music for actor Vikram's eagerly awaited film, Saamy 2.

Thameens Films, which produced films like Iru Mugan (2016) and Puli (2015), is producing 'Chiyaan' Vikram's Saamy 2.

Actresses Trisha and Keerthy Suresh have been signed up by the production to play the female leads in the film directed by Hari. Work on the project will begin this August.

This will not be the first time that Devi Sri Prasad will be working with director Hari. The composer teamed up with the director on two previous superhits, Singam I (2010) and Singam II (2013). The soundtrack of both these films went on to be quite popular among fans.

Similarly, the composer, popularly known as DSP, has also worked with Chiyaan Vikram before. DSP had scored the music for Vikram's Kanthasamy (2009).

DSP has been busy scoring music for Telugu films in recent years. He scored the music for Junior NTR-Mohanlal film Janatha Garage (2016) and Chiranjeevi's Khaidi No 150 (2017) among others. With Devi Sri Prasad joining the team of Saamy 2, expectations for the film have gone up
