Hollywood actor Hugh Jackman, who is known for playing Wolverine for the last 17 years on the big screen, is back to wowing the audience with his turn in as the iconic character in Logan. This will be the last time Jackman will play the popular Marvel comics character. While promoting the film, which released around the world this week, the actor was asked by Indian film journalist Rajeev Masand if it would be hard for him to see someone else step into the part. To this Jackman said that several actors could take on the role, and perhaps Shah Rukh Khan could play it.

Now, SRK has responded to the statement in his trademark witty style. When a well-known columnist and author shared a link of her article on why SRK should play Wolverine, the superstar replied, “Hair on the chest lady…need hair on the chest!! Working on it though. Love Hugh & Wolverine.”

The Raees actor actually took a dig at himself for having no hair on his chest. SRK has never shied away from laughing at himself and this was yet another example of it. His comment was appreciated by his huge number of followers on Twitter.

Jackman played Wolverine for the first time in 2000 in the movie X-Men. The Hollywood star has played the character nine times. Directed by James Mangold, the film released in India on 4 March.
