The makers of Sridevi's upcoming film MOM released a motion poster which pays rich tribute to the selfless love of a mother. The actress will play a mother in MOM.
Director Ravi Udyawar has chosen the powerful, yet humble voice of Nawazuddin Siddiqui to recite a poetry that pays tribute to a mother.
Badalte waqt main bhi nahi badalta uska pyaar
Bachon ke liye phool si woh, dushman ke liye talvar
Laxmi bhi woh, Saraswati, Durga aur Kali bhi
Usi se ghar mein hoti hai Holi, Eid, Diwali bhi
Mamta ke hai duniya mein kahin naam
Maa kaho, amma kaho, ya kaho MOM
The words are simple, but deep. The background score at the end reminds of the 'Now We Are Free' theme from the multiple Oscar-winning Hollywood film Gladiator.
The wait has been long for Sridevi who was last seen in Gauri Shinde's English Vinglish (2012). That was her comeback film after eight years.
Siddiqui is playing a cameo role in the film which also stars Akshaye Khanna. Mom is set to be released on 14 July.
