For a man who played a sperm donor in his debut film (Vicky Donor, 2012)  writing a titillating novel shouldn't really come as a surprise. Ayushmann Khurrana finds himself playing one such character in Meri Pyaari Bindu with Parineeti Chopra playing his dear Bindu. The makers today unveiled the first poster of the film.

Khurrana tweeted about the poster.

Switching his name as character Abhimanyu Roy on his Twitter handle, Khurrana made it evident that the film is Bindu's story told through Abhimanyu Roy’s words.

Chopra was a bit more daring in her tweet questioning whether this avatar of Khurrana should be censored or uncensored?

The book in Khurrana's hand immediately catches your eye with its 'Chudail Ki Choli' title. The animated chudail (witch) drawing on the book cover definitely doesn't look like Bindu. Is the man sitting in Madira Bar the author of the book? Or is it just a figment of Abhimanyu Roy's imagination?

Let's not judge a book by its cover, but its back cover. If you see closely, you see the book has received 5-star reviews.

Chopra has already enamoured her fans with the 'Mana Ke Hum Yaar Nahi' song, and from the Meri Pyaari Bindu poster it seems she is playing a singer. The film will see playback singers like Kumar Sanu and Shreya Ghosal get in front of the mic. They are playing themselves so we will see the duo as playback singers in the film.

The film is directed by Akshay Roy. A beautiful song and a quirky poster has set the ball rolling for Meri Pyaari Bindu. Fans will wait with bated breath for the teaser that comes out tomorrow. The film is set to be released on 12 May.
