Move over Badshah, there is a new rapper in town! After going deep into the dark side for Vikramaditya Motwane's Trapped, Rajkummar Rao has turned rapper (on screen) in the first song from Behen Hogi Teri. It is not the only surprise element of this wonderful track that is an homage to the devotional style of Gulshan Kumar.

The song is a throwback to the famous ''jagrata' tracks that took music mogul Gulshan Kumar to the peak of the music industry. Composer Jaidev Kumar has given a wonderful twist to the whole 'Kala Chashma' phenomenon by adding a devotional twist to it. The lyrics by Sonu Saggu focus on the praise of goddess Durga, while staying true to the tone and rhythm of the Katrina Kaif item number.

The hallucinogenic visuals are another positive to the entire video. Shruti Haasan and Rajkummar Rao bring in an element of sincerity, as the frenzy erupts around them.

While the videos are cool enough, it is the lyrics that are the USP of the song. Considering the popularity of 'Kala chashma', and the nature of this song, it might just make a place for itself on the playlist of mandals around the country in the festival season.

Behen Hogi Teri is directed by Ajay K Pannalal, and is scheduled for theatrical release on 26 May.
