Sunil Grover 'needs more time' to decide on future with Kapil Sharma

The future of the show itself hangs in the balance after host Kapil Sharma allegedly abused and assaulted his colleague.

Sorry cannot bring back a dead man. Kapil Sharma will be sweating over the future of The Kapil Sharma Show with his apologies failing to pacify his aggrieved colleague, Sunil Grover, whom he allegedly abused and assaulted on a flight.

While speculation is rife that Grover, along with other actors Chandan Prabhakar, Kiku Sharda and Ali Asgar, have quit the show, the man himself has not made any decision yet.

Speaking to website timesofindia.com, Grover insisted that he needs time to decide on his future with the show. “I can't talk about it right now," he said. "I will need few days’ time. Only then can I talk about it.”

The actor also said he wasn’t aware of other artistes quitting the show.

Apart from Grover, Sharma is said to have insulted his other artistes. Cinestaan.com spoke to Kiku Sharda, who did not comment on the raging controversy but had this to say, “After coming back from Australia, I have shot for two episodes. However, I can’t comment on anyone else.”

Kapil Sharma has apologised to Grover on social media and requested a meeting with him. According to sources, Grover is travelling for a stage show and has asked Sharma and the others concerned to meet him in Delhi.

Though they have worked together, Sharma and Grover have had their differences. These first surfaced when Grover left Comedy Nights With Kapil to start his own show Mad In India on a rival satellite channel. The show bombed and Grover returned to Comedy Nights With Kapil. When Sharma’s relationship with the channel Colors got strained, he and his colleagues walked out and tied up with the rival Sony to start The Kapil Sharma Show.
