Lara Dutta Bhupathi to play single NRI mother in her next home production

Lara Dutta Bhupathi is back to films. The actress is set to return to the big screen in her second home production. The actress will be playing a single NRI mother, alongside Vinay Pathak in the film.
Untitled so far, the film is Lara's second home production under the banner Bheegi Basanti Entertainment. Incidentally, the lead pair of Lara and Pathak had also starred in the debut production, Chalo Dilli (2011). The second film from the banner will be directed by Sushil Nagpal. Nagpal won the National Award for Antardwand (2008).
Speaking about the film, producer Lara said, "We at Bheegi Basanti Entertainment have been on the lookout for another story that had the same humour and emotional connect that Chalo Dilli had and have finally found that with a script that National Award winning director Sushil Rajpal has brought us."
The film revolves around the story of an NRI mother who returns to India in search of the anonymous donor who fathers her child. Lara added, "It is liberating and refreshing to pursue great stories and bring them alive on celluloid through challenging and lovable characters and most importantly to make people laugh and cry at the same time. Vinay is a fabulous actor and co-star and I find it invigorating and thoroughly enjoyable to share the screen with him."
The film is scheduled for a theatrical release in July this year.
