Disha Patani rubbishes rumours of being cast in Student Of The Year 2

Tiger Shroff has been cast to play the lead in Student Of The Year 2. But there has been a lot of ambiguity over who will play the female lead. There have been reports about Saif Ali Khan’s daughter, Sara Ali Khan, being cast in the film. 

Following this, there were few other reports claiming that Sara had been replaced by Disha Patani, who is also the rumoured girlfriend of Shroff. But Patani has now come out and rubbished all talk as rumours. 

“I am also reading this news. It is weird to read the news that says sometimes Sara, sometimes me. I don’t know what’s going on,” she said. The actress was speaking during the launch of her app. 

However, when asked whether she was approached for a role, she only said, “No comments.” 

Another pair that is rumoured to be cast for Student Of The Year 2 is Ishaan Khattar and Jhanvi Kapoor. But even their names haven’t been officially announced by the makers. Khattar is Shahid Kapoor’s younger brother, while Jhanvi is Sridevi and Boney Kapoor’s daughter. 

Student Of The Year 2 is the second film in the franchise. The first, Student Of The Year (2012), saw the launch of Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt and Sidharth Malhotra. It was helmed by Karan Johar. 

But the second film will be directed by Punit Malhotra. He had earlier made I Hate Luv Storys (2010) and Gori Tere Pyaar Mein (2013) with Johar’s banner.
