Karishma Tanna will appear opposite Ranbir Kapoor in Sanjay Dutt biopic

Sanjay Dutt was always popular with the ladies. So, it was natural for his biopic to have quite a few women. Anushka Sharma, Manisha Koirala, Dia Mirza and Sonam Kapoor have all signed up for the film. Now, TV and film actress Karishma Tanna has been signed for a cameo in the biopic of the controversial actor.

Buzz had it that Tanna was to be paired opposite Ranbir Kapoor as one of the women in Sanjay Dutt’s llfe.

“Yes, I have signed for the Sanjay Dutt biopic. It’s a guest appearance though. Beyond that, I can’t disclose much,” Tanna told Cinestaan.com.

Anushka Sharma plays a journalist, while not much is known about the character Sonam Kapoor will be essaying. Dia Mirza is said to playing Dutt’s present wife Manyata Dutt while Manisha Koirala will be playing his mother, the legendary actress Nargis.

Dutt was romantically linked with Madhuri Dixit at one time. We wonder whether Hirani will explore that saga in his film, and whether Tanna will play that part.

A known face on television, Tanna has done a few films before, most notably Grand Masti (2013).
