The makers of Phillauri have found quite a bizzare and hilarious way to promote their ghost flick Phillauri, and the actor and producer of the film, Anushka Sharma is completely on board. In a totally Phillauri spirit, Anushka presented her own take on the infamous best picture gaffe (La La Land was announced best picture instead of Moonlight, which was the actual award winner of the category) that took place at the 89th Academy Awards on 26 February.

The actress posted an edited photo of the La La Land cast on the Oscars stage. You can now spot a bewildered Anushka Sharma standing next to Warren Beatty, who was about to take the mike to explain why he ended up announcing the wrong winner. The picture also has Anushka, dressed as her Phillauri character, Shashi, explaining how the gaffe could have been avoided if only the presenters had heeded her 'Hindi' warnings. In Phillauri, the actress plays a ghost that keeps following Suraj Sharma's character around.

Its a bizzare way to promote a film, but it is sure to make you laugh.

The makers have launched the #ShashiWasThere campaign on Twitter, and in the coming days you are likely to see Shashi the ghost in many other interesting places, amidst unsuspecting people and in some hilarious situations.
