Govinda's comeback to the hero mode is not going too well. The actor's Aagaya Hero has been postponed to 16 March, from its initial release date of 3 March. The lack of sufficient screens seems to be the main cause for the postponement.

Aagaya Hero is directed by Dipankar Senapati and was initially scheduled for a 24 February release. This will be the second postponement of the film. Reports quoted a source saying, "Since Kill Dil and Happy Ending didn’t work, Govinda is moving ahead very cautiously. From changing the title of the film to pushing the release date to avoid a clash with other productions, Govinda is trying hard to save his film this time round. Since two other films are releasing on March 3, Aa Gaya Hero has been pushed to March 17."
The 16 March release date might not help the film avoid such clashes either. This postponement will see the Govinda-starrer clash with Vikramaditya Motwane's Trapped, and Anushka Sharma-Diljit Dosanjh starrer Phillauri, which release on 17 March.

The actor though, does not seem perturbed by it. Speaking to an online media channel, Govinda said, "My movie is releasing not on 17 March, but is hitting the screens on 16 March. I was not getting many theatres. I want more theatres to be available for my film. As two movies (Commando 2 and Jeena Isi Ka Naam Hai) are releasing on 3 March, I wasn't getting theatres." He also added, "Yes I am releasing my movie a day before. Even if I have to buy a theatre and release my movie, I will. So, I will be coming on 16 March."
With the film set to run into Phillauri and Trapped, the decision is questionable. Phillauri is Anushka Sharma's second home production, and has received favourable reviews for its trailer. Meanwhile, Trapped marks the return of Vikramaditya Motwane, and received critical praise on its premiere at the MAMI film festival last year. Whether Aagaya Hero will manage to stand up to these films remains to be seen.
