SS Rajamouli's Baahubali 2 trailer crosses 50 million views in a day

Baahubali: The Conclusion is undoubtedly the most awaited film of the year. The large scale period epic by SS Rajamouli is tipped to break the box office records set by the first film. From the reception of its trailer, it seems inevitable. The trailer of the film, released yesterday, has already crossed 50 million views within 24 hours. 

Co-produced by Arka Mediaworks and Dharma Productions, Baahubali: The Conclusion stars Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty, Sathyaraj and Nasser among others. The film is the concluding part of Baahubali: The Beginning (2015). Filled with heavy VFX and massive landscapes coupled with a huge fan following, it is no surprise that the trailer of the film went viral. The 50 million count is a cumulative amount, comprising of views from all three, Tamil, Hindi, Telugu trailers of the film on YouTube.

In fact, the trailer release was scheduled much later on Thursday, but had to be preponed because of a 'glitch'. It proved to be quite the move as every other conversation online was dwarfed by Baahubali. 

Director Rajamouli took to Twitter to express his gratitude for the reception. He wrote: 

Baahubali: The Conclusion is scheduled for theatrical release on 28 April.
