Director Vijay Milton invites special guests for Kadugu's audio launch

Director Vijay Milton had some special guests rubbing shoulders with actor Suriya at the unique audio launch of his film, Kadugu.

Cinematographer turned director Vijay Milton had a unique set of guests on stage for the audio launch of his next film, Kadugu.

The director presented the first three copies of his film's audio, released by actor Suriya, to three special individuals -- an auto driver, a hotel owner from a remote town in the state and a traffic cop.

The director went on to explain why he had chosen these individuals as his special guests. He first introduced Karunaivel and his wife,Swarnalakshmi, who run a hotel along the highway from Perundhurai to Kunnathur saying, "This couple here runs a hotel. It is actually their home and it is run by just the two of them. You can eat your fill and if you feel like paying for the food, you can pay whatever you want and go... They will treat you with love like they treat their son. They have been doing this in rememberance of their son, who passed away in an accident. To them, everybody who visits their home is their child."

He then went on to introduce the other two special guests, an auto driver and a traffic constable.  He said that, "This auto driver called Arunagiri provides free wi-fi to all his passengers. He also provides all kinds of gadgets to his passengers and trusts them implicitly." Pointing out that Arunagiri's auto also has a card swiping machine, Milton said, "Also, if you do not have change, he will simply tell you that he trusts you and ask you to pay the next time you board his vehicle. He has changed his work into something that he likes to do," said Milton.

"The third person, a traffic cop, Kumar, is better known for his dance moves. He is known to use pleasant words and uses dance movements to regulate traffic. Hugely popular for his friendly approach, the cop has been hailed a hero by commuters and motorists," Milton continued.

The director added that the life of these individuals mirrored the message in his film. He said, "This film is about how you look at yourself unmindful of how the world looks at you. You need to have faith in yourself if you want the world to have faith in you. Therefore, I wanted someone, like these people, who had given so much to society through their selfless service to receive my film's audio first."

Apart from screening the teaser of the film, the director also revealed the opening shot, which has already created quite a buzz among cinephiles in the industry.

The film, which has raised huge expectations ever since it was bought by actor Suriya's 2D Productions, features director Rajakumaran, Bharath, Subiksha, Radhika Prashitha and director A Vengatesh.

The film is scheduled to hit the screens on March 24.
