Sonakshi 'Noor Roy Chowdhary’s' life summed up in 'Uff Yeh Noor' track

Lyricist Manoj Muntashir has penned a light-hearted, goofy track that introduces audiences to Sonakshi Sinha's character Noor.

What is it like to live the life of a journalist? Sonakshi Sinha’s Noor hopes to give a realistic account of a journalist’s life. The makers unveiled the first track titled 'Uff Yeh Noor', which describes why Sinha's character Noor Roy Chowdhary hates her life.

She parties, only to have an epic hangover, has weight issues, is prone to losing things and has no love life. As the lyrics go, 'Kuch baat hai isme zaroor, atrangiya iski mashoor(there's something about Noor, she's famous for her shenanigans). We get to see those shenanigans and goof-ups aplenty in this track. Noor is adorable, impulsive, a dreamer, impatient, but above all she's confused. Sinha displays these idiosyncrasies adequately in the song.

Apart from the visuals, the light-hearted lyrics which sum up Noor’s life strike an instant chord. Penned by Manoj Muntashir, they introduce Noor to the viewers. Noor is a girl who thinks from her heart, steers clear of traditional routes and her madness is captured well in the simple words by Muntashir.

The lyrics are backed by peppy and joyful contemporary music by Amaal Malik. Younger brother Armaan Malik has done full justice to Muntashir’s words and Amaal’s music by crooning in a goofy style. Armaan has a unique voice that makes him the perfect fit for such frothy, peppy numbers.

Noor set the ball rolling with an impressive trailer, and its first song is likely to strike the right chord with the audience.
