Five years after she made a comeback with Gauri Shinde’s English Vinglish (2012), Sridevi returns to Hindi cinema with her home production, Mom (2017). In between, she took a negative role in Puli (2015), with co-stars Vijay, Shruthi Haasan and Hansika Motwani. Sridevi steps back in leading lady territory with Mom.
Introducing the first look of the film, Sridevi presented the poster of Mom saying, “When a woman is challenged...” The word 'mother' is scripted across a determined-looking Sridevi in different languages from Marathi to Spanish.
