Ayushmann Khurrana, Bhumi Pednekar begin Shubh Mangal Saavdhan journey

The romantic drama co-produced by Aanand L Rai and Eros International gets underway in Delhi from today.

In January this year, Ayushmann Khurrana and Bhumi Pednekar had happily announced about their reunion with Aanand L Rai’s production Shubh Mangal Saavdhan that will be directed by Tamil filmmaker RS Prasanna. The film has gone on floors from today and Rai made the announcement via Twitter.

Interestingly, Khurrana’s three current projects have seen him travel to Kolkata, Bareilly and now New Delhi. The actor shot Meri Pyaari Bindu with Parineeti Chopra in Kolkata, while he’s paired with Kriti Sanon in Bareilly Ki Barfi.

Shubh Mangal Saavdhan reunites Khurrana with Pednekar, with whom he shared screen space in Yash Raj Films' Dum Laga Ke Haisha in 2015. The film was directed by Sharat Katariya.

Both Khurrana and Pednekar had earlier signed for Rai’s Manmarziyan, a project that failed to take off.

Shubh Mangal Saavdhan is said to be the remake of Tamil comedy Kalyana Samayal Saadham (2013), that was helmed by Prasanna. Shubh Mangal Saavdhan is jointly produced by Aanand L Rai and Eros.
