Priyanka Chopra is in no mood to slow down. Barely a day since the actress returned to the country after non-stop promotions for her Hollywood debut, Baywatch, and she has announced the next project under her banner, Purple Pebble Pictures.
The actress took to Twitter to announce the launch of her second Marathi production, Kaay Re Rascala. The film is being tagged as a 'hilarious family entertainer' and is directed by I Giridharan Swamy. Chopra has already tasted phenomenal success as a producer, after her first film, Ventilator (2016) bagged three National Awards this year.
The poster gives little information about the setting of the film, but reveals the name of the main characters, Raja and Guddu. This first poster is intriguing to say the least. The film is set to release on 14 July.
The actress launched her home production only last year, and has since taken on a slew of projects in multiple regional languages.
Purple Pebble Pictures already has several projects in the pipeline, including Nalini, a film based on Rabindranath Tagore's first love, and Pahuna, a children's film in Sikkimese. The production has also taken up projects in Konkani and two films in Bengali.
It looks like some people never stop working.
