Anurag Basu will have a cameo in Jagga Jasoos song

The lead up to the release of Jagga Jasoos on 28 July has gotten a positive start with the song ‘Ullu Ka Patta’, composed by Pritam, which gets better every time you hear it. Now, with second song, ‘Galti Se Mistake’ due to release shortly, comes word that writer-director Anurag Basu, will be seen in a cameo in it.

This is not first time that Basu has faced the camera, however. He was a part of Onir’s film I Am (2010) in the segment title ‘Afia’ starring Nandita Das and Purab Kohli in which he plays Dr Basu. He helps Afia (Nandita Das) who opts to have a baby via artificial insemination after her husband asks for a divorce.

It remains to be seen how Basu will be a part of the song. The showman, Subhash Ghai, was known for his special cameos in his films like Ram Lakhan (1989) and Khal Nayak (1993).

The fun and vibrant family film, Jagga Jasoos, starring Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif, is due to be released on 14 July.
