The promotions for Akshay Kumar's upcoming Toilet: Ek Prem Katha seem to be pointing out everything that is wrong with open defecation. The makers of the film have been releasing posters featuring several elements of toilets around the country. From posters on walls to women travelling in groups for toilets, the posters have been focussing on the key element of the story.

The latest poster from the film features Akshay front and centre. The actor, dressed in sporty overalls, is carrying a lantern and a 'lota' (mug) as he stands outside in the bushes. The two accessories are necessities for villagers across the country looking to relieve themselves in the open. The actor's grim look in the poster is also a sign of the difficult nature of his character's crusade.

Directed by Shree Narayan Singh, Toilet: Ek Prem Katha is based on a real life incident, and tells the story of a man's crusade to help villagers find accessible toilets. The trailer for the film is set to arrive on 11 June.

Toilet: Ek Prem Katha also stars Bhumi Pednekar. The film is set to be released on 11 August.
