TVF’s Sumeet Vyas to romance Kareena Kapoor in Veere Di Wedding

Popular web series actor Sumeet Vyas has landed a role in Veere Di Wedding, according to latest reports. Vyas has been cast opposite Kareena Kapoor Khan in the film directed by Shashanka Ghosh.

Vyas is known for the web series Permanent Roommates and TVF Tripling on The Viral Fever (TVF) channel. He has already acted in a number of films like Aarakshan (2011), English Vinglish (2012), Aurangzeb (2013), Kajarya (2013), Guddu Ki Gun (2015), Parched (2016) and Maroon (2016).

In the past few years, famous names from the web like Tanmay Bhatt (Mr X, 2015), Rohan Joshi (Baar Baar Dekho, 2016), Kanan Gill (Noor, 2017) and Nidhi Bisht (Phillauri, 2017) have also appeared in mainstream Hindi cinema.

Veere Di Wedding will be shot in Delhi and probably Bangkok. A source told a daily, “Shashanka [Ghosh] and his team have done extensive recce in Delhi where the major portion of the film is set. The first schedule will be a smaller one of a few days, after which they will mostly head to Bangkok for the second schedule.” 

Veere Di Wedding will be Kapoor Khan's comeback film after the birth of her first son Taimur Ali Khan in December last year. The film also stars Sonam Kapoor and Swara Bhaskar.
