Tiger Shroff and Disha Patani have been rumoured to be dating for a while, but they have always maintained that they are just good friends. This friendship will now be seen on the silver screen with Patani roped in to play the female lead in Baaghi 2.
“They share an amazing on-screen chemistry, which was evident in their look test. Disha is just perfect for the role. I am happy with my cast and excited to kick-start the project,” producer Sajid Nadiadwala told Bombay Times newspaper.
Baaghi 2 is the sequel to Sabbir Khan’s 2016 romantic action drama of the same name. Shraddha Kapoor was cast as Shroff’s heroine in the first film. The second film will be directed by Ahmed Khan.
Nadiadwala and Khan will up the scale in the second film with more riveting action. Shroff will be travelling to Hong Kong next month to train for the action sequences under martial arts director, Tony Ching. The actor will undergo a month-long training in Bak Mei, Choy Li Fut and Wing Chun, which are different styles of Wushu (Chinese martial arts).
Baaghi 2 will be released on 27 April 2018.
