Anil Kapoor can't sit and converse with daughter Sonam for long

Anil Kapoor's family is full of varied characters. While Anil and daughter Sonam are outspoken, son Harshvardhan and other daughter Rhea are private persons who never go overboard in their statements. Anil Kapoor’s wife Sunita just does not like to come into the limelight. By that count one ought to expect Kapoor to be close to Sonam. However, the reality, it seems, is different.

In a magazine interview, Kapoor threw in a surprise by saying there is a communication gap between him and Sonam. The veteran actor made this disclosure while answering a question on the equation with his children.

"Rhea and Harsh are like equals, but there is also a fine line," he said. "With Sonam, there is a communication gap, maybe because we are similar. We connect emotionally, but we can’t sit and talk for hours."

Harshvardhan was asked whether he takes relationship advice from his dad. The junior Kapoor replied, "No, that’s too personal. I’m very private [in these matters]. In general, I’m very comfortable around women because of the amount of time I’ve spent with my mother and two sisters. I’m a laidback guy – I don’t ask too many questions and I’m not overbearing."

Anil Kapoor, though, had one bit of advice for his son. "I want him to loosen up," he said. "I want him to meet people and be more social."

Harshvardhan made his acting debut with Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s Mirzya last year. He will be seen next in Vikramaditya Motwane’s film Bhavesh Joshi.
