Udhayanidhi Stalin signs on Priyadarshan's next film

Udhayanidhi Stalin has now entered the big league of actors. The actor, who entered the film industry as a producer and began acting in guest roles before turning a hero, is reporteldy signing on to director Priyadarshan's next film.

Sources in the industry say that the film that the two will be working on the remake of a critically acclaimed Malayalam film called Maheshinte Prathikaram (2016), which featured Fahadh Fasil in the lead.

However, the makers of the film have said that although the film’s story will be based on Maheshinte Prathikaram, there will be a lot of changes to the original story, and therefore one cannot call this film to be a remake of Maheshinte Prathikaram.   

The film will be predominantly shot in Theni in Tamil Nadu. Priyadarshan's film will go on floors by 15 July.
