Never had any passion for dancing, says Nawazuddin Siddiqui

With each film, Nawazuddin Siddiqui springs a surprise. Apart from playing versatile characters, he is also experimenting with his looks. In Mom, he will be seen sporting a slightly bald look, while in Munna Michael he plays a 42-year-old gangster who hires Munna (Tiger Shroff) to teach him how to dance.

Dancing. Now that’s a first for Siddiqui, and the actor doesn't shy away from admitting that dancing is not his forte.

At the trailer launch of Munna Michael, Siddiqui was asked about his experience learning dance from Shroff. "While I have never been averse to playing the romantic hero, I never thought I would become a dancing hero," he responded. "Though very difficult, Tiger taught me really well. One usually has a passion for something or you have god's gift. I never had the passion for dancing. However, [on the sets] I guess I was like a tiger who had tasted blood."

Shroff was full of praise for his pupil and co-star. "Nawazbhai is a very hardworking actor," the youngster remarked. "He is so humble and gentle on the sets. [But] the moment the camera rolls, he becomes a different person! As an actor, I have learnt so much from him about the craft."

Shroff and Siddiqui displayed great bonhomie at the launch. The two must be hoping that audiences like their on-screen revelry when the film hits the screens on 21 July.
