Ever since Nawazuddin Siddiqui signed on for Sabbir Khan's dance comedy, Munna Michael, alongside Tiger Shroff, the curiousity among fans has not abated. While Shroff is known for his impossible moves on screen, Siddiqui's dance moves can at best be characterised as unique.
The trailer of Munna Michael now reveals the true nature of this chemistry. It begins with a street con from Mumbai (Shroff), Munna Michael, who wants to prove that 'Michael lives forever'. While he is no stranger to violence, dance remains his passion.
At the other end is the ruthless don from Delhi (Siddiqui) who seeks to learn dance in 30 days to impress the gorgeous Dolly (Nidhi Agerwal).
The trailer also offers a much awaited glimpse into Siddiqui's dance moves, set to 'Gandi baat' from R...Rajkumar (2013). While the trailer focuses on this unique partnership, it also gives glimpses of the rivalry that erupts between the friends. Whether they remain friends till the end is the question.
While Shroff continues to astound us with his flexibility, some of his moves look a little old. Yet, it is Siddiqui's turn as the wannabe dancer that leaves you laughing. The struggle of Siddiqui to match up to Shroff's moves has been built up as the USP of the film, and might just prove to be true. Agerwal adds to the glamour of the dance sequences, but has little to do in the trailer.
Munna Michael is directed by Sabbir Khan, and is set for release on 21 July. Watch the trailer here.
