Malayalam actor Dileep has said that he is even ready for a narco analysis test to prove his innocence and claimed that he had nothing to do with the incident in which a popular south Indian actress was kidnapped and harrassed a few months ago.
In a post on Facebook, actor Dileep, after expressing his gratitude to a couple of close friends who had stood by him, alleged that a group of people and some media establishments were trying to tarnish his image by dragging his name into the case.
The actor is believed to have said, "I just have one thing to say to those who are trying to make me pay for a crime I did not commit. I am not involved in any case. I am ready to undergo brain mapping, narco analysis, lie detection to prove my innocence."
Dileep's statement comes a couple of days after one of his close aides, Nadir Shah, reportedly received a blackmail call from a man identified as Vishnu, alleged to be a close friend of Pulsar Suni, the prime suspect in the case. Vishnu, is believed to have told Nadir Shah that Suni must be paid a sum of Rs1.5 crore to maintain silence in the crime.
After this, Dileep filed a police complaint alleging blackmail and the police, acting on the complaint, took Vishnu into custody.
Apart from the blackmail call, media reports also suggest that there is a letter written by Suni, who is presently lodged in the Ernakulam district jail, to Dileep, threatening to expose his secrets, if the ransom is not paid.
