Shah Rukh Khan praises Ranbir Kapoor, Anurag Basu for making a film like Jagga Jasoos

Ranbir Kapoor has thanked Shah Rukh Khan for praising his upcoming film, Jagga Jasoos. The 24-year-old Kapoor revealed that Khan was the first person to call him after watching the Jagga Jasoos teaser.

“When the teaser came out, Shah Rukh sir was the first person to call me and Anurag dada (Basu). He was extremely excited and happy that a film like this is being made in Bollywood. I think he was also very generous with the kind of love and praise he was giving,” Kapoor told ANI news agency.

“For us, it was a confidence boost that the King of Bollywood is saying such things for our film. So, I am very grateful to him,” added Kapoor.

There’s a great bonhomie between Kapoor and Khan. Recently, at Jab Harry Met Sejal director Imtiaz Ali’s birthday party, Kapoor was spotted with Khan posing with Rs5,000. Later, it was learnt that money was his fee for suggesting the title Jab Harry Met Sejal to Ali.

The trailer and songs of Jagga Jasoos have been received warmly. The film will be released on 14 July. Three weeks later, Khan’s Jab Harry Met Sejal will hit the screens on 4 August.
