There is some good news for Mithun Chakraborty fans. The actor, who has been keeping ill since long, has now fully recovered. In fact, as per reports, he is also all set to make a comeback to the small screen.
Mithun da will be playing an important part in a comedy show on one of the entertainment channels. It is said that he will be tickling the audience’s funny bone on the show. He will be joined by the likes of Ali Asgar, Sudesh Lahiri, Krushna Abhishek, Sugandha Mishra, etc.
The veteran actor had flown to Los Angeles last year for a month to get treated for a chronic back ailment and hairline fracture. The root cause of this was the injury he suffered during the shoot of his film Luck (2009). He had even resigned as the Rajya Sabha MP (Member of Parliament) to focus completely on his health.
Chakraborty took the decision of returning to the small screen after giving it a lot of thought as shooting TV shows becomes hectic. A source close to the actor told an entertainment portal, “He took the decision after much deliberation. TV means long schedules and no rest in between but he is ready to take it on as Mithun da is completely healthy now.”
The last released Hindi film of the actor was Hawaizaada (2015), where he starred alongside Ayushmann Khurrana.
