The uncle-nephew jodi of Anil Kapoor and Arjun Kapoor will be seen together for the first time in Anees Bazmee’s Mubarakan. It seems uncle Kapoor is too eager to see nephew Kapoor deliver a hit. This is what he kept saying to the director during the shoot.
At the trailer launch event of Mubarakan, Anil Kapoor said, “Before almost every scene, I used to discuss with Anees (Bazmee) sahab that this is the first time we are working with Arjun, so this should be his best film. And it should also be his most successful film. I and Anees would be happy only when it becomes successful. That’s the spirit in which we have made this film.”
Although Bazmee has made and written a lot of double roles, he feels this time it required a lot of hard work from the protagonist. “I have worked a lot with Anil ji. This is the first time I am working with Arjun. I am honestly telling you that I felt happy doing that. He has put in so much of hard work for the kind of double role. I have written a lot of double role films. But in this film, there is 62 minutes of double role. We have shot such difficult scenes.”
He also added that Arjun Kapoor helped them wrap up the shoot sooner. “I feel we would have had to shoot 20-25 days more if it wasn’t Arjun because this isn’t easy,” added Bazmee.
