Deepika Padukone gets her first Hollywood nomination for Teen Choice Awards 2017

The actress is nominated in the Choice Action Movie Actress category for her role in the Vin Diesel starrer, xXx: The Return Of Xander Cage.

Deepika Padukone had the perfect start to 2017 with the release of her Hollywood debut, xXx:The Return Of Xander Cage. Now, the actress has received a nomination to the Teen Choice Awards 2017 for her performance in the film. The actress has been nominated in the Choice Movie Actress category for this year.

The list was released by the official Twitter handle of the Teen Choice Movie awards today.

The actress will be competing with her co-stars from xXx: The Return Of Xander Cage, Nina Dobrev and Ruby Rose in the category. Michelle Rodriguez, Kaya Scodelario, and Wonder Woman star Gal Gadot are the other nominees. While Gadot looks a strong frontrunner for the award, it is not a great idea to cast away Padukone's chances at the Teen Choice Awards. Vin Diesel has also earned a nomination to the Choice Movie Action star category at the awards.

This is the actress's first nomination to any award category. Earlier this month, director DJ Caruso confirmed that Padukone would be returning in the next instalment of the film, along with her other co-stars.

Currently, the actress is shooting for Sanjay Leela Bhansali's epic period drama, Padmavati, alongside Shahid Kapoor and Ranveer Singh.
