Watch: Ayesha Takia raises voice against human trafficking in new video

The 'Zindagi Tujhse Kya Karen Shikvey' song, written by Murli Agrawal and arranged by Raaj Aashoo, addresses the issue of child trafficking.

Actress Ayesha Takia, who has been on a sabbatical from films, has featured in a video which highlights human trafficking. The 'Zindagi Tujhse Kya Karen Shikvey' song addresses the issue of child trafficking.

Good intent wins you half the battle, and here the makers have backed it up with a hard-hitting and appreciable track. The plot revolves around the kidnapping of Takia’s sister and how, with the help of the police, they are able to rescue the child. It’s hard to recollect an Indian single which addressed this grave issue before.

'Zindagi tujhse kya karen shikvey, jab bhi hi diye bas gum tune diye' sounds quite similar to the lyrics of the 'Mausam' track (penned by Sayeed Quadri and crooned by Mithoon) from Emraan Hashmi’s The Train (2007). 'Mausam' lyrics were ‘Zindagi ne zindagi bhar ghum diye, jitne bhi mausam diye kam diye’.

The similarity ends there as the subsequent lyrics typify the plight of a woman who is desperately looking for her kidnapped sister. Takia was in the news last for reports of going under the knife. The actress rubbished the reports as being morphed.

The neat lyrics by Murli Agrawal are backed by intense pop rock music by Raaj Aashoo. The good lyrics and music made singer Amit Mishra's job easier. Mishra succeeds in bringing out the true essence of the song. The music compliments the visuals of despair aptly. Takia’s tears and the grave situation at hand gets you worried. Therein lies the success of the track.

Three cheers for Takia and the makers for addressing the issue of child trafficking in a lyrical yet intense way.
