Jacqueline Fernandez has been in the Hindi film industry for almost a decade, but her struggle to learn the new language does not seem to abate. While she might have learnt Hindi fairly well, Punjabi is a whole other challenge. However, her Judwaa 2 co-stars, Varun Dhawan and Taapsee Pannu seem to have taken it upon themselves to teach the actress some Punjabi.
In a video uploaded on Pannu's Instagram page shows Fernandez struggling to get through the phrases that her two co-stars are putting up for her.
On Pannu's instance, Fernandez tries to repeat that phrase 'Chak de phatte, nap de gilli, subah Jalandhar te shaam nu Dilli'. While there is no equivalent translation in English, it is easy to understand that the Sri Lankan born Fernandez faced quite a challenge trying to repeat the phrase correctly.
On the video, Pannu wrote 'On public demand that's her entry in our punjabi gang on #Judwaa2 sets! A very sporty student I must say! @jacquelinef143'
Some of the words that Fernandez pronounces are not even part of the phrase. But it certainly makes for a fun watch!
The trio are currently shooting for David Dhawan's Judwaa 2. The film is a remake of the 1997 comedy caper, Judwaa. The remake will also see the trio foot tap to the superhit songs like 'Unchi Hai Building' and 'Tan Tana Tan' from the original. For now, it certainly looks like the trio is bonding well.
Judwaa 2 will hit the theatres on 29 September.
