No matter what the subject of the film is, Pritam's ability to deliver a show stopping song is never in doubt. The latest song from Kabir Khan's Tubelight, 'Main Agar', is the latest one in a long list of melodies by the composer.
The song features Chinese actor Zhu Zhu and child actor from Arunachal Pradesh Matin Rey Tangu. Sung by Atif Aslam, the song has a beautiful, lilting melody that makes it endearing. Amitabh Bhattacharya's soothing lyrics find the perfect vehicle in Pritam's composition. Aslam's voice adds a magic touch to the emotional scenes unfolding in the video.
The song portrays the development of the relationship between Salman Khan's character and the little boy, played by child actor Tangu in the film. The family starts a friendship with the innocent, 'Tubelight' after he offers the kid an icecream on their arrival. The song also indicates that it is the love of the young boy that lets the character of Tubelight become the 'hero' in the end.
Going by the video, the mother and son look to be refugees who are living in the region as war between India and China breaks out. Salman delivers another reason to watch the film with his childlike innocence. The bond between the superstar and young Chinese actor is already growing, with stories emerging of the two indulging in an ice cream competition on set.
Tubelight is directed by Kabir Khan, and produced by Salman Khan Films. The film is set for theatrical release on the Eid weekend (23 June).
