The film is yet to go on floors but there's a great buzz around Ayan Mukerji's much delayed superhero flick Dragon that has Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt in the lead.

The shooting is expected to commence once Kapoor winds up the Sanjay Dutt biopic. In an interview to a noted daily, Bhatt spoke briefly about the film, confirming tales that Dragon will be a three-part series that will be shot over a period of 10 years.

"Yes, we plan to make it as a three-part series. About the span of 10 years, only Ayan can talk about it. If that’s what he has said, then maybe that’s the plan," Bhatt told DNA newspaper.

Dragon is Bhatt’s first film with Kapoor. The actress will also be sharing screen space for the first time with Ranveer Singh in Zoya Akhtar’s Gully Boy. Bhatt was full of praise for Singh, with whom she’d forged a bond when they shot advertisements for a travel portal together.

“Ranveer is a complete crackpot. I have worked with him in ads, and I think I have an idea about what shooting is going to be like. I’m excited because Gully Boy is an emotional story, and our characters are very interesting, so it will be a unique combination. I have always wanted to work with Zoya (Akhtar), who I think is absolutely fab. This year, I am working with two actors and two directors who I’ve always wanted to work with, said Bhatt while praising Singh.

Bhatt will begin work on Meghna Gulzar’s Calling Sehmat. Dragon is expected to release in 2018.
