Aadar Jain, Anya Singh launched as Yash Raj Films’ newest faces

After announcing new projects, Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar and Sui Dhaaga, earlier this week, Yash Raj Films’ is officially launching the faces of Habib Faisal’s next untitled production. The film will bring together Aadar Jain, grandson of Raj Kapoor, and Delhi girl, Anya Singh.

Aadar, son of Raj’s daughter Rima Jain, will be the fifth Kapoor grandchild to join the industry. Cousins Karisma, Kareena and Ranbir have all lead successful careers, while Aadar’s older brother Armaan acted with Deeksha Seth in Arif Ali’s Lekar Hum Deewana Dil (2014). The film was co-produced by Saif Ali Khan, Kareena's husband.

Like his cousin Ranbir, Aadar has studied at the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute. He was also the first assistant director on Ae Dil Hai Mushkil (2016), directed by Karan Johar and starring Ranbir and Anushka Sharma.

Meanwhile, not much is known about Anya Singh, but she has already landed a three-picture deal with Yash Raj Films, signalling their faith in her.

The official Twitter handle for the studio revealed 10 new tweets about the two first-timers accompanied with a quote about their personalities. For instance, one of Aadar’s photograph featured the line, “Kapoor is not my surname but films run in my blood,” while Anya’s photograph featured the line, “Everyone’s journey is bumpy. I made mine a joyride.”

Both Ranbir and Sharma are said to be launching the two officially at an event today.
