Last year, Aamir Khan had held a press conference to unveil something new. Back then, most thought that it could be the rap song he crooned for Dangal (2016). However, the world was left shocked after he unveiled the teaser of his next production Secret Superstar taking everyone by surprise. The teaser received a phenomenal response. It has Dangal co-star Zaira Wasim play a Muslim girl, Insu. The school girl dreams of making it big by singing songs. However, her conservative father is against the idea. She is then seen shooting a video of herself with a guitar, wearing a burkha to hide her face and identity.
The makers today unveiled an impressive teaser poster.
Seen in the poster is the back shot, probably, of Insu, who is in her school uniform, carrying a bag with a microphone sticking out from it. What’s so special about this poster? Quite frankly, at first glance you would find it generic, but the secret to this poster lies in the tag line, ‘Dream dekhna toh basic hota hai”. (Having a dream is very basic) The school bag in the poster and the reference to 'having dreams', points out to the idea that having a dream is just as basic as being educated.
The trailer of Secret Superstar will be out on 2 August. Directed Advait Chandan, the film is set to be released on Diwali this year.
