Actor Inder Kumar's death at the young age of 43 has come as a shock to the film fraternity and to audiences. As soon as the news broke out, social media was flooded with condolence messages.

Inder Kumar's friend and spiritual master Shri Kamalji Maharaj, who is based in Vindhyachal, Uttar Pradesh, recounted that the actor kept a smile even while he was struggling.

When he was told about Inder Kumar’s death, he brushed it off as a prank. “I pinged him on Facebook today as I had some work. I got a reply that he passed away. Initially, I thought this is some prank because he was a fun-loving person. I then asked around and came to know that it is true. Somebody from his family had replied from his profile. It was very shocking for me,” he said.

Inder Kumar and the spiritual guru had been friends for the past 10 years. “I am a spiritual teacher and he was associated with me. We used to keep speaking and I used to meet him whenever I visited Mumbai. I know him through my brother who knew him since long,” he said.

Just recently, Kamalji Maharaj was part of a ritual performed to provide a boost to Inder Kumar's career. “My guruji had prepared a yantra for him. I had sent him an image of it through WhatsApp. I had asked him to do its darshan so that Ma Bhagwati might improve his career. I told him I would present it to him once I visit Mumbai in August," he said.

He added that Inder Kumar used to remain happy in spite of the struggles in his life. “He was jovial and a very nice human being. Despite struggling in life, he was a fun-loving person. He used to help people a lot. Inderbhai was very close to Salman Khan,” he added.

The actor died of a heart attack in the early hours of 28 July.

Many celebrities like Anupam Kher, Abhishek Bachchan and Riteish Deshmukh have offered their condolences to the late actor on Twitter.
