Tiger Shroff's rom bags a poor Rs31 crore, Alankrita Shrivastava' critcially acclaimed drama has a decent first week

After a bright start to his career, Tiger Shroff is find the going tough as his latest release Munna Michael has failed at the box office. The film could barely get Rs.31 crore nett in its firs week, as reported by BoxOfficeIndia.com.

Made at an approximate budget of Rs.45 crore,  Munna Michael was released across 3000 screens, a record for Tiger Shroff film, in India. The largely negative reviews haven’t helped the film’s cause. Not even Nawazuddin Siddiqui could save the film.  Munna Michael is turning out to be the second successive dud for Shorff after A Flying Jatt (2016)

As opposed to Munna Michael, Alankrita Shrivastava’s critically acclaimed drama Lipstick Under My Burkha enjoyed a decent run at the box office bagging Rs.10 crore nett.  The film got limited screens (400) and is made at a budget of Rs10 crore (adjusted).

Meanwhile, Christopher Nolan’s Holllywood flick Dunkirk bagged a decent Rs16.75 crore nett in week one

With four Hindi films releasing today – Mubarakan, Baaraat Company, Raag Desh and Indu Sarkar,  the task for Munna Michael and Lipstick Under My Burkha is cut out.
