The controversy between RJ Malishka and BMC over potholes in Mumbai created a huge online stir last week on social media. Actor Anupam Kher was asked his take on the issue during an event for his upcoming film Toilet: Ek Prem Katha.

Kher claimed not knowing about the controversy. He said, "I'll have to find out the controversy because I just came day before yesterday." Later on in the event, he added, "I think whatever Malishka did, I am sure she must have done something very interesting."

As Kher has been a part of anti-corruption movements in the past, he said one should rather do something about issues. "I think we need to change things rather than constantly point out. I am an eternal optimist. I believe in doing things rather than pointing out the mistakes" he said.

The veteran actor believes that Toilet: Ek Prem Katha aims to be one such action. "I think potholes are being going on since 35 years that I have been staying here. Every time such a thing happens, we need to change that. Every time an action like this (the film) happens, it is an initiative towards goodness," he added.

The event felicitated cleanliness marshalls of the BMC for their efforts in keeping the city clean.
