Bollywood Hungama, an entertainment website, carried a news item claiming that singer Antara Mitra has lashed out at Rishi Kapoor for his criticism of Jagga Jasoos director Anurag Basu. The only problem though is that the Twitter handle does not belong to the singer, who claims she doesn’t even have a Twitter account.
A few days ago Rishi had hit out at Basu blaming him for the debacle of Jagga Jasoos, that had his son Ranbir Kapoor in the lead role. The senior Kapoor called Basu an 'irresponsible' director, holding him responsible for the delay in completion of the film.
Speaking to Cinestaan.com, Mitra said, "I'm very disturbed by this report. I’ll have to speak to them (Bollywood Hungama). Why will I make any comment against Rishi ji. I have nothing to do with this matter. I don’t even have a personal Twitter account. I believe there are couple of accounts by the fans, but I’m still to find the account that has been reported by them. I have an official facebook and Instagram accounts.”
The website had posted an exclusive audio video report claiming that Mitra posted some stinging tweets against Rishi Kapoor.
The alleged tweets slam Rishi, reminding him that it was Basu and Pritam who gave his son a hit film, Barfi! (2012).
Mitra is one of the singers of the 'Khaana Khaake' track from Jagga Jasoos.
